"This website was born out of love and reverence for the heritage of my ancestors."
Two carrier bags found in my grandparents' cellar led me to a story I was unwilling to let fade into forgetting. Embroideries, dolls, old issues of Živena — and behind them, an entire world that nearly vanished. Anna Šenšelová, Lipa, tens of thousands of hands that kept the beauty of folk art alive. All of this deserves to go on living.
This website was not made to order, not out of obligation, and not for financial gain. It came to life out of a need to honour a woman I never got to meet — and from a conviction that her work and legacy deserve to be remembered. Every line of text, every photograph, every archival discovery: a gift of love and respect for my family's heritage.
This is a personal, non-commercial project. It is not sponsored or funded by any external source — I run it entirely on my own, in my own time, with no expectation of profit. Everything here was created out of love for my ancestors and the belief that their story is worth telling.
